SHOT – Music Video for The Dialogue

Just wrapped day 2 on a music video for Maryland based band, The Dialogue with director and long time friend Taylor Deyoung. This was one of the most laid back shoots I have ever been apart of, one of the reasons why I love shooting in Maryland. This is my second time shooting a video in a barn and it is always such great vibes/positive energy. Beats the hell out of shooting on a cold street in NYC!

All the guys in the band are super cool and great to work with. Taylor was collaborating a little bit with the band on some shot ideas which actually worked out well. I usually hate when the band steps in and starts trying to give production ideas but we got along very well with these guys.

The video had a very simple concept which gave us more time to focus on the performance setup. Since we were dealing with such a small crew and minimal lighting, we were able shoot lots of great coverage. I also tried a few new lighting tricks which proved to be pretty cool. Taylor also built a really nice ring light which was a lot of run to work with. This is the 2nd shoot I have shot with Taylor and he is always building some cool light for me to play with : )
