Short film in Maryland – Days 1 and 2
This past week I was brought on to DP a short film in Maryland by director and long time friend Taylor DeYoung. Taylor and I grew up shooting skateboard videos together in middle-school and were pretty much the only 2 kids at our high school that were into film (that I know of). This film was Taylor’s first time directing a short that he wrote and I am very excited for the outcome. This is also my first time shooting a period piece set in the late 1800’s.
The shoot was scheduled as a 4 day shoot, but unfortunately snow got in our way. We were able to complete 2 full days of shooting but on the end of the 2nd night, the snow started coming down hard. Currently the shooting is postponed until further notice. Maryland got a near 2 feet of snow so it may be a couple weeks until we can continue with the shooting.
Below are a few screen-grabs and production stills from the shoot thus far.
